The Steering Committee of the Costa Cruises Foundation is comprised of the Board of Directors, the President and the Internal Auditor; it supports the Foundation in setting the strategic direction and managing operations.
The Board of Directors develops the mission, the objectives and strategies based on the constitution, the principles that inspire the Foundation and the staff’s recommendations.
It identifies the most impactful activities within the Foundation’s areas of interest, which include campaigns to protect the sea and the marine environment, and projects of high social value aimed at supporting people and communities in need.
Its purpose is to set the general direction of the Foundation, outlining a path for managing the donations and the selection of projects, based on the recommendations of the Secretary General and the staff. Ongoing conversations with the Foundation’s staff responsible for overseeing operations, and the Foundation’s various partners, enable the Board of Directors to assess the progress and results achieved, reflect on the quality of past experiences and implement change.
